I can't express enough joy being Desmond's mother. He is just the cutest ball of goof sometimes!

I love how he shows a big grin and hold up his arms every night when I come home asking me to hold him and then gives me a big tight hug. That's just the warmest feeling! He's also learned to stroke my face gently. This is a star difference from when he used to smack my face or pinch me with his very sharp nails! I wish I can capture all these on video so I can share with his grandparents from afar but Desmond has gotten a little camera-shy lately.

He's also learned to kiss people without opening his mouth, thus, no more wet kisses! You should see the sweet look on his face when he kisses, so cute, so proud, so sweet.

Oh, everything that he does is just so so sweet!

Well, almost everything. He still throws tantrums sometimes, and that's when we have to give him time-outs. The first time he was given time-outs, he kept running away from his fixed position. It took us a good 15 minutes to get him to understand that he had to stay put and wait. Now whenever I give him time-outs, he will just stand at that place and wait for me to go back into the room. He cries, of course. But it's nice to know that he understands what a time-out is and is obeying it. The most important thing about giving time-outs is to explain to him what he did wrong and ask for a big tight hug in the end. That will ensure that their feelings aren't hurt and for him to understand that what he did was wrong but mommy forgives and still loves him.

We went to visit another newborn this past weekend. Seeing another baby reminded me how much I wanted another baby. I think I'm really ready for #2 now. You know, when you're not quite ready for a baby and you're pregnant, time really flies. Now that I'm ready and all pumped up about having another baby, time is slowing down. I can't believe I'm only 23 weeks! I can't wait to welcome him into the world. Oh I'm in love with him already! You know, the moment your baby's born and you take your first glance at your baby, your heart just melts. It really doesn't matter whether you're having a boy or girl because he or she is still your baby. I'm sure all you mothers will understand and appreciate that. It's just a little harder to convey that message to people who haven't had a child or who has not had a child for a while that being pregnant or being a parent is not about whether you have a son or daughter, it's about loving whatever you're having!

It's Thursday and I can't wait for the weekend to arrive. I look forward to all the time I get to spend with Desmond, that mischievious darling son of ours!
